Since Cartoon Network first blasted onto our screens in the early 90s, it has just gone from strength to strength. With their signature thick black outlines, you can tell a Cartoon Network Toon a mile off. Among the numerous hit shows the studio has produced are Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, The Powerpuff Girls and Ed, Edd n Eddy.
In recent years, Cartoon Network has attracted viewers outside its core young audience. Their mid-afternoon cartoon block 'Toonami' consists of reruns of Japanese anime, while a late-night cartoon block called Adult Swim shows more risqué, teenage - and adult-oriented cartoons.
