Founded by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, Hanna-Barbera Productions produced the most delightful television cartoons for over forty years.

Hanna and Barbera were first teamed together while working at the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer animation studio in 1939. Their first directorial project was a cartoon entitled ‘Puss Gets the Boot’ which served as the genesis of the popular Tom and Jerry cartoon series.

Their list of creations is endless but include: The Huckleberry Hound Show, The Yogi Bear Show, Quick Draw McGraw, Top Cat, Jonny Quest, The Jetsons and the one and only, modern stone age family, The Flintstones. All broadcast during prime-time hours, competing (and winning) against live-action comedies, dramas, and quiz shows.
